form: These were replicas of existing furniture. The change to the original design, which I proposed and the client
accepted was the addition of the drawer. The pieces include the custom metal stands with an exposed shelf onto which
the storage unit fits perfectly.

function: top double sliding doors provide easy access for the standing hairdresser while also allowing a place for
drinks or other items to be placed during hair cut. A drawer built into the side to keep important smaller items from
getting lost in the main storage area. Units are free standing and movable.

form: This was designed exclusively by the client. My help was providing material suggestions that would help her stay in
her budget and the functional mechanics. This is 2 units attached together. Both pictures are the same units. The left is
all components opened (except the sliding doors) The other is all components closed (except the sliding doors) (don't
know why it is that way).

function: The unit with the TV is designed for entertainment equipment, note the multiple shelves with less distance
between them, movies, dvd player, play station, etc..The other unit is designed for a work area (sewing and fashion
design work). Note the fold up desk on chains, the larger storage areas. Units can be separated moved or taken apart
and reassembled.

beauty: The industrial quality of the materials contrasted with the solid blocks of color I found very interesting. The
plywood is sanded smooth but unfinished. The side posts are unfinished steel.
